WEIGHT
Our epicPLY panels are a revolution in the world of wood products, as they are up to 50% lighter than conventional plywood. We owe this remarkable feature to the advanced construction and high-quality materials we use: The combination of lightweight yet robust wood fibers allows for a significant weight reduction without compromising structural integrity. The secret lies in the unique layered structure of epicPLY panels. Unlike conventional panels, which are often made of solid wood, we utilize a state-of-the-art sandwich construction. This enables a significant weight reduction while the panels remain incredibly strong and durable. The advantages of this weight reduction are immense, especially in areas where every gram counts. epicPLY is the ideal choice for campervan conversions, shipbuilding, or custom furniture making, as the reduced weight facilitates handling, improves efficiency, and reduces fuel consumption in mobile applications.
QUALITY
At epicPLY, we prioritize excellent quality and superior craftsmanship to offer you durable and robust products. Our meticulously manufactured lightweight panels meet the highest standards and are in no way inferior to traditional plywood. Thanks to a higher number of core layers compared to conventional plywood, epicPLY panels are characterized by their exceptional stability and outstanding screw pull-out resistance. This added dimensional stability ensures that you can enjoy your project for as long as possible. To guarantee the longevity of your epicPLY project, we use a special, moisture-resistant adhesive. epicPLY panels are not only extremely dimensionally stable, but they are also easy to work with and offer a high-quality surface finish, making them the ideal choice for a variety of projects. Discover the versatile applications of our panels and experience how epicPLY offers the perfect balance between quality, stability, and sustainability.
SUSTAINABILITY
Sustainability is more than just a buzzword at epicPLY – it's a core principle we live by. We are proud to create ecologically sustainable lightweight panels and actively contribute to protecting our planet. Our CO2-neutral panels are made from sustainably sourced plantation timber and are FLEGT-certified to promote responsible forestry. In close collaboration with Fairventures, we are committed to combating deforestation. For every tree felled, we plant six new ones to actively contribute to reforestation and the preservation of natural resources. We work closely with local farmers and place great importance on fair and sustainable partnerships. By choosing epicPLY, you are not only investing in high-quality lightweight panels, but also in a better and greener future. We strive to minimize our environmental footprint and are firmly committed to ensuring that future generations can also benefit from our planet's resources. Support us in our mission to promote a more sustainable and responsible timber industry.
Timber cultivation
The wood we use for our epicPLY panels comes from 100% sustainable forestry and is FLEGT-licensed. This means that strict guidelines are followed during deforestation to ensure the protection of rainforests. In close collaboration with Fairventures Worldwide, we are committed to combating deforestation. For every tree felled, we plant six new ones to actively contribute to reforestation and the preservation of natural resources.
CO2 neutrality
At epicPLY, we are committed to climate protection and are proud that our manufacturing process is CO2-neutral. This means that at least as much CO2 is absorbed during the cultivation of the trees used for our panels as is emitted during production. In this way, we contribute to reducing the burden on our environment.
Fair cooperation with local farmers
We are committed to ensuring that our products are not only sustainably but also fairly produced. Our epicPLY panels are manufactured in collaboration with local farmers who benefit from the trees and their cultivation. Because the trees return nutrients to the soil during cultivation, they can be ideally grown alongside other plants, such as coffee. In this way, we support not only the local economy but also the environment.

Questions about sustainability answered
What about the environmental impact of transporting epicPLY products from Indonesia to Europe?
We take environmental concerns seriously, especially regarding the transport of our products. Although our panels travel long distances, their carbon footprint is neutral due to the rapid growth and CO2 absorption of the Albasia trees. Furthermore, the footprint is comparable to that of poplar wood sourced from Southern Europe. We are committed to continuously optimizing our transport routes to further reduce our environmental footprint.
What does 'CO2 neutrality' mean in the production of epicPLY panels?
CO2 neutrality means that no additional CO2 is released into the atmosphere during the production of our epicPLY panels. On the contrary, the cultivation of our wood absorbs at least as much CO2 from the atmosphere as is generated during the production of our panels. Therefore, our manufacturing process is CO2-neutral and does not place any additional burden on the environment.
How does epicPLY support local farmers and communities in the production of its panels?
We work closely with local farmers and support them in the sustainable management of their land. We use plantation timber grown alongside cash crops, such as coffee. This allows farmers to harvest multiple crops per year and secure an additional income. We place great importance on fair wages and collaboration with farmers and communities to ensure that together we create a sustainable future.
How can epicPLY control the origin of the wood used?
Our parent company, Jacob Jürgensen, allows us to source wood either from their own plantations or, through collaboration with Fairventures, to support local farmers. This gives us direct control over the origin of our wood and enables us to continuously monitor sustainability practices and ensure that no rainforests are cleared for the production of our panels.
Are rainforests being cleared for the epicPLY timber plantations?
No, of course no rainforests are cleared for the epicPLY plantations. On the contrary – we instead use degraded areas that have lain fallow for years or have been exhausted by intensive agriculture such as rice cultivation. Our sustainable farming methods revitalize these soils and contribute to the preservation of biodiversity.
