What type of wood are the epicPLY panels made of?
The epicPLY plywood is made from Albasia falcata wood, a particularly lightweight and fast-growing wood from sustainably sourced Indonesia. Thanks to its high stability and low weight, the plywood is ideal for campervan conversions, furniture making, DIY projects, and any application where every kilogram counts. Whether for interior campervan construction, lightweight furniture, or creative craft projects – the epicPLY plywood combines sustainable quality with maximum functionality.
Are the epicPLY records calibrated?
Yes, all epicPLY panels are precision calibrated. We adhere to strict manufacturing standards that ensure each panel has a thickness tolerance of ± 0.2 mm. This precision allows for a consistent, high-quality finish for all projects and applications.
Which strength is suitable for which purpose?
For campervan conversions, we recommend the following thicknesses of epicPLY lightweight multiplex panels:
4–9 mm thicknesses are ideal for wall and ceiling paneling in campervans, as they are particularly lightweight and flexible. For van furniture construction, 12–19 mm thicknesses are suitable, depending on the load and design. Drawers, in particular, can be excellently constructed from the raw 12 mm epicPLY plywood.
Can the epicPLY raw panels be painted?
Yes, epicPLY raw panels can be painted. Thorough sanding and priming are essential for optimal results. We do not recommend these raw panels for decorative purposes, as imperfections or slight discolorations may occur due to the manufacturing process. They are ideally suited for functional applications where stability and lightness are paramount.
How will your order be shipped?
Your epicPLY plywood sheets will be securely shipped via freight carrier within one business day of ordering. After shipment, you will receive a shipping confirmation with a tracking number, allowing you to track your delivery at any time. The delivering freight carrier will contact you by phone to arrange a suitable delivery date. Depending on the chosen date, delivery will take place within 3–7 business days after your order.
Samples and accessories are shipped directly via DHL and will also arrive within 3–7 business days. This way, you benefit from a fast and reliable shipping service for all orders.
What are the shipping costs?
Within Germany, shipping costs for samples and accessories are €9.99. Shipping costs for panels, cut-to-size pieces, and Precision-Fit floor panels depend on the order value: up to €499, shipping costs €199; between €500 and €999, the cost is €149; and for orders between €1000 and €2499, a shipping fee of €79 applies. Shipping is free for orders over €2500.
For deliveries to Austria, parcel shipping costs €15.99. Shipping costs for freight forwarding also vary depending on the order value: up to €499, shipping costs €249; for orders between €500 and €999, the cost is €199; and between €1000 and €2999, the cost is €119. Shipping is free for orders over €3000.
Can I pick up the epicPLY records?
You can pick up your order from our warehouse in 89555 Steinheim am Albuch (Söhnstetten). Simply select "Pick up at our shop" at checkout. Your order will usually be ready for pickup within 1 to 2 business days. This is a distribution center without a retail area. Click here to find partners who offer pickup. Pickup in Hamburg is currently not possible.
